Using level reference drawings

This section contains information on using drawings in a level as level reference drawings. For more information about level reference drawings, refer to About reference drawings.

Choosing a level reference drawing

  1. Open a color model, as described in Opening a color reference model.
  1. Open a level which contains the drawing you want to use as a level reference drawing, by choosing Drawings > Edit Level Reference Drawing.
  1. Select the level from the dialog box displayed and click OK.
  1. The following dialog box is then displayed:
Click on the drawing that you want to use as the level reference drawing and click OK. (If a drawing has been nominated within this level, it is highlighted in the dialog box.)
The drawing is loaded into the Color model browser window and the Reference window.

Editing level reference drawings

As the level reference drawing belongs to the level, any changes you make to the level reference drawing are shown in the drawing in the level.

Clearing a level reference drawing

To clear a level reference drawing from being a level reference drawing associated with the currently loaded color model, choose Drawings > Clear Level Reference Drawing.

If you are currently editing a level reference drawing, the level reference drawing is cleared and the color model is displayed again in the Painting window and Current Frame window.

If you're not editing a level reference drawing, a dialog box is displayed for you to select a new level to load, as described in Choosing a level reference drawing.
